April 17
There was a report of a suspicious vehicle driving around the neighborhood in the 700 block of Cottonwood. Officer made contact with the driver and he advised he owned a house on the street and was waiting for a buyer to come look at the property.
There was a report of a minor accident by the city pool when a vehicle backed into another vehicle.
April 18
A dog tried to get into the reporting person’s back yard with her dog. The owners were found.
A caller advised there has been someone staying on his property at night where they store lumber. Reporting person found bedding and dog collars in one of the rooms and requested close patrol for a little while.
Custody dispute was reported.
April 19
An officer was out at two individuals at the Baptist church on North Camden.
April 20
A reporting person stated neighbors have seven dogs in a pen and it looks like they are fighting. An officer and animal control made the scene. One dog looks to be injured but not severely. There were several code violations and code enforcement remained to scene to make contact with the owner.
A reporting person stated a woman at the Valero started to yell at them and the woman pulled a firearm out of her purse, then drove away in a four-door hatchback. Officer checked the area and other gas stations, but could not locate the vehicle description.
A reporting person stated there was a dog barking loudly like it may have been injured. Officer made the scene and found a husky puppy stuck in the fence. Made contact with the owner and they got the puppy unstuck.
April 21
A caller at Allsup’s advised there was a black Ford truck that has been there for over an hour and the passenger door was open with a male in the driver’s seat with his head down. Officer made the scene and spoke with both occupants of the truck. They advised they did drink earlier in the day and did not have anywhere to go. Officer advised they could not stay at the store and sleep.
There was a calf out by the airport. An officer located the calf and secured it back into the pasture with the rest of the cows.
Criminal trespasses were issued following a domestic dispute.
April 23
A reporting person heard a truck crash, five people got out and were picked up by a car, left the truck there. Officer located the owner and his son who was driving at the time. Officer was going to follow up with the juvenile the next day.
A reporting person’s father left around noon, headed towards Mt. Pleasant to visit the caller but the caller lives in Stephenville. Father has Alzheimers and the caller has been on the phone with him off and on. The father was located at a Dairy Queen in Big Lake.
Follow up with juvenile who wrecked a truck and left. They received two citations for leaving the scene of an accident and one for no drivers license.
A reporting person reported a friend had been drinking and possibly trying to overdose on pills. Officers spoke to her and she was fine, nothing was wrong but she had been drinking.
