Thursday, Dec. 10 officially marks the return of Christmas to Dublin with the lighted Christmas Parade set for 6 p.m.

The tradition brings lots of opportunities to find the perfect gift as shops will be open, the Sr. Citizens Center will be serving up taco soup ($5 per bowl) as part of their fundraising efforts at the Dublin Market Days, which will be open at Wright Historic Park from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. This will be the final Farmer's Market of the year, offering the perfect chance to pick up some homemade gifts and homegrown goods in time for Christmas!

Santa will also be on hand for photo opportunities after the parade, but facemasks will be required for the safety of St. Nick and those wishing to meet him.

As darkness descends on Dublin, festive floats adorned with Christmas lights will depart from the Memorial Stadium and travel up Travis before turning left and heading downtown on Patrick Street.

The line will go down Patrick Street, turning at the Alleyway by Dublin Bottling Works before the railroad tracks, meaning that people can observe the parade all the way from Travis to Elm on Dublin’s main street, allowing for plenty of room to social distance.

Floats and other entries will then turn on Grafton towards N. Post Oak where they will return to the Memorial Stadium.

Anyone with questions or wanting to sign up can call the Dublin Chamber of Commerce office at 445-3422.
