New year, new Chamber

The Dublin Chamber of Commerce is starting 2021 fresh with a new office, phone number and board members.

The Chamber moved from its temporary office at Dublin Bottling Works to 110 S. Patrick Street, Suite B next to the Dublin EDC’s new office space. The main street location offers better visibility and space for visitor’s center material for any tourists looking for information on Dublin and the surrounding community.

The new location also comes with a change in phone number so anyone needing to get ahold of the office should call (254) 300-6263.

The Chamber also had some changes following the ending of several terms, leading to nominations of board members to step in and help with events, planning and decisions during the December board meeting held in the EDC’s meeting room.

Board members unanimously approved the nominations of Orion Gallagher, Hazel Anderson, Jena Galindo, Juanita Torres and Danielle Meador.

Board members were also called to nominate officers with President Lori Mayfield announcing that she needed to step down due to conflicts with a busy schedule and other demands. Mayfield voiced her support for Paul Gaudette to succeed her in the position which was unanimously approved by other board members (except for Gaudette who abstained from the vote).

This left a vacancy in the position of secretary which Gaudette was filling with those present suggesting Torres for the position, since she had previously served on the Chamber and was acquainted with duties.

Lisa Lane was approved as Vice President for the coming year with the support of outgoing VP Mayra Hagood and other board members, and Kim Stone was unanimously picked to continue as Treasurer.

The Chamber is also hosting a contest for people to submit designs for the 2021 plaques which are given to Chamber members for display at their businesses and buildings. For more information find Dublin Texas Chamber of Commerce on Facebook or visit dublintxchamber. com.
