Morning Star Ranch recently had an extremely successful event with its 3rd annual Christmas Caroling night.
On Tuesday, Dec. 13 the ranch hosted a night full of decorating the ranch, Christmas lights, singing, and of course meeting Santa.
Tuesday afternoon started off at the ranch setting up decorations, Christmas trees, and lights!
The arrival of Steve and Karla Werkman and West Wind Percherons was met with great joy and anticipations.
A team of black and a team of grey gentle giants hitched up to two beautiful carriages light up with Christmas lights.
After a short rehearsal, everyone loaded up in to the carriages and they jingled down the driveway.
Caroling the classics to several neighbors those mighty drafts clippety clopped down the road to their final stop, Santa’s barn party hosted by Roslyn Proffer.
There was cookies and hot apple cider for refreshments along with baby calves and a mini horse for entertainment. And of course, Santa had gifts for all the kids.
After all the cookies had been eaten and the last present opened everyone loaded back up in the carriages and headed back to the ranch.
Jingle bells on harnesses and Christmas lights on carriages driving back to the ranch was the perfect ending to the most magical night.
Thank you to all the kids and parents that joined us in such a memorable night. Thank you to everyone involved that didn’t get to be there.
Thank you to the sponsor Fair Haven Baptist church for helping make the night so magical and a special thanks for Roslyn Proffer for hosting the Santa party. And thank you to Steve and Karla Werkman for bringing your beautiful horses and carriages.
