LISD closes due to illness

Lingleville ISD has cancelled classes for the remainder of the week due to a high number of illnesses. LISD Superintendent Dee Cee McDougal addressed the district saying: “As many of you are aware, we have been dealing with a large number of flu and covid cases since returning from our Christmas break.

“We have now reached a threshold of both student and staff illness where we must consider the overall health and safety of all stakeholders. After careful consideration, we are closing our schools for the remainder of the week beginning Wednesday, January 24th.

“We will return to normal schedule on Monday, January 29th. When we return on Monday, please help us by keeping your children home if they are sick and not allowing them to return to school until they are fever free for 24 hours. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the front office. Thank you!”

All Lingleville youth sports are also being rescheduled. More info can be found at linglevilleyouthsports.com.
