With regular filing closed for local elections in both school board and city council, there will only be a race for school board.
Three candidates have filed for two positions on the Dublin ISD School board: incumbents Blanca Martineau and Bill Rodriguez and challenger Ryan Mitchell. The deadline to file for writein candidates was 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 and any results from that were not available at presstime.
For city council, all three incumbents have filed to retain their city council seats: Place 1 held by Lee Jones, Place 3 held by Darren Turley and Place 5 held by Sammy Moore.
Early voting for the school board race will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 25-Friday, April 28; 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 2 and 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday, April 24 and Monday, May 1.
Early voting locations include the Patrick Street Church of Christ in Dublin (630 N. Patrick Street) and the Erath County Courthouse (100 W. Washington Street).
Election day will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 6 with voting locations including Erath County Courthouse, Patrick St. Church of Christ, Texas A&M Agrilife (1229 N. U.S. Hwy. 281 – Stephenville) and Texas Bank (988 Wolfe Nursery Road – Stephenville).
