A crowd of community members joined together Saturday, Feb. 24 for a ribbon cutting at Halo Beauty Company (19623 S. Hwy. 377 Suite 2, near Bovine Supply) hosted by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce.

The business was opened in November 2023 by owners Emma Lannin and Quincey Goodwin after the duo became friends and needed a change from their previous salons in Stephenville and Weatherford respectively.

“We met in cosmetology school and go to church together,” said Goodwin. “Our friendship’s grown like crazy.”

Goodwin, who lives in Lingleville, said she hated to leave her Weatherford salon but the commute was proving to be too much.

Along with stylists Kaylee Whisenant and Abigail Webb, Halo Beauty offers a wide variety of services including: lash extensions, spa facials, waxes, men’s and women’s haircuts, hair chemical services and hair towel shaves.

Goodwin said everyone in the salon has their specialty with her offering different types of lash services including classic hybrid and volume and Emma offering options in facials.

Goodwin said her favorite facial is the spa treatment. “I fall asleep every single time,” she admitted.

Goodwin said they were deeply appreciative of everyone who showed up for the grand opening/ribbon cutting and the support they’ve had since opening four months ago. The celebration allowed them to show off all the renovations they’ve made since taking over the building that was once office space and a daycare. The owners are proud of all the improvements they made so far but Goodwin said the goal is to have all renovations done this summer. “I’m really proud of the front room,” said Goodwin. “Since we started, it’s been a complete 360. Our styles really came together in the front room because if you look at our individual rooms, they’re very different.”

Goodwin adopted a more minimalist style while Lannin’s space boasts a chic neon look Clients can make appointments Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. by calling (254) 964-1140. The salon also accepts walk-ins on Wednesdays and offers $5 off for all walk-ins that day (and $10 off for seniors).

Goodwin and Lannin seek to serve all needs with Halo’s variety of services and look forward to people seeing the new space. “We love Dublin,” Goodwin said of their new business community. “Thanks everyone for all the support so far.”
