Dublin High School golfers have been testing their irons and shaving strokes off their game as they get closer to district.
During play at PAR in Proctor last week for the Comanche Invitational, Charlie Rasberry led the boys in scoring with 95.
Head golf coach Wes Grisham said Rasberry “ made some great shots towards the end of play and really helped his score.”
Grisham added that he saw a lot of improvement and smart play by all of his golfers though. Dane Lewis shot 122 in the round and Andrew Butter shot 150.
Bailey Watson had 118 on the girls side, and Grisham said she left the round more determined after narrowly missing a birdie putt.
The golfers followed this performance with a round at Squaw Valley on Monday, March 6.
Rasberry led once again with 94 followed by Watson with 114 and Butter with 141.
“ We keep improving and understand the game a little better every week,” said Grisham. “I think if they can invest some serious time this summer we could see some major improvements for next year. We have a few weeks for district tournaments to start. I’m hoping we can play a lot over our spring break.”
