Body

GOOD. Water stained; 65 degrees; 8.61 feet below pool. Black bass are excellent with catches up to 8.30 pounds on jerkbaits, chatterbaits, topwaters and crankbaits in 3-8 feet of water. Bass are in a prespawn mid lake, and starting to get on beds on the lower end. Crappie are excellent, suspended in 10-12 feet of water on brush piles in the cove pocket on black and chartreuse jigs or minnows. Some fish are spawning in 1-4 feet of water. White bass are good on crankbaits. Catfish are slow on cut or prepared bait around baited holes.

GOOD. Water clear; 63 degrees; 0.01 feet below pool. Water temperatures are in the middle 60s on the main lake. The lake is full due to the recent rainfall. Watch out for floating debris. Sand bass action has been good from Indian Harbor to in town on slabs jigged off the bottom in 10-20 feet of water. Striped bass have been hit-or-miss, but some good action can be had on live bait near Decordova subdivision to Blue Water Shores. Crappie action is improving in the creeks and sloughs, but many are still being caught on the main lake structure on jigs from Water’s Edge to the Peninsula. Blues and yellow catfish continue to be good on cut shad on the upper ends. Granbury largemouth bass are fair to good to 6 pounds on soft plastics and spinnerbaits near bedding areas. Some good largemouth bass continue to be caught near major creek entrances.

POSSUM KINGDOM

FAIR. FAIR. Water clear; 61 degrees; 0.08 feet below pool. Striped bass are fair in 20-40 feet of water and live bait is the bestway to catch them at the moment. Sand bass are fair to good. Sandies are looking to spawn transitioning up the creeks and rivers. Look for fish in 2-20 feet of water with live shad, small slabs and jigs. White, and silver are good colors. Catfish are good on cut shad in 5-15 feet of water. Water clarity is steady at 4-10 feet of visibility.

PROCTOR

GOOD. Water normal stain; 65 degrees; 12.10 feet below pool. Reports of decent size catfish and crappie catches near the dam. Largemouth bass can be caught on soft plastics. Ramps are closed. It is possible to launch a boat from the gravel at Buffalo Springs.

WEATHERFORD

FAIR. Water heavily stained; 61 degrees; 5.24 feet below pool. Crappie are biting at the crappie house and the marina near rocks. Bass are starting to transition to shallower water for the pre-spawn. Catfish are slow on the main lake with cut bait.

WHITNEY

FAIR. Water slightly stained; 64 degrees; 1.24 feet above pool. Catfish are fair using cut drum or shad. Striped bass are fair to slow using live bait and jigs.
