Fatal shooting reported in Dublin

Texas Rangers are seeking a suspect in connection with a shooting that happened just after 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 27 in the 400 block of West Valley.

The suspect Jesus Manuel Deleon, is 60 years old, approximately 5’08” tall and 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Deleon was observed driving away from the residence in a black Ford F-150 pickup that was later found abandoned in Hamilton County on March 28.

Deleon should be considered armed and dangerous, do not attempt to apprehend Deleon yourself, contact law enforcement

According to Dublin Police Chief Cameron Ray, Dublin PD was alerted to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of West Valley just after 8 p.m. Sunday and was on scene within minutes.

Upon arrival, officers located a female who was deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Multiple shots from a handgun were reportedly fired at the victim, who was visiting the scene and shot in the front yard. Ray reported that rounds also struck a couple of vehicles and multiple shell casings were found in the street.

“The Dublin Police Department wishes to express our deepest sympathy to the victim as well as her family,” wrote Dublin Police Chief Cameron Ray in the initial release. “We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the assistance provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety Texas Ranger Division, Stephenville Police Department, Erath County District Attorney’s Office, Erath County Sheriff’s Office and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
