Dublin Economic Development Corp. directors met in special session Thursday, Dec. 1 to approve interim leadership of the organization as it begins a search for a new executive director.
The board confirmed EDC board president Monte Thiebaud has the authority to provide general oversight for the EDC and asked former EDC executive director Karen Wright to serve as a consultant.
Wright will assume daily contact with the public and work with grant programs while Thiebaud does general oversight.
Amy Wright, hired in June 2022 as executive director, resigned in mid-November to assume another job.
She had replaced executive director Brad Stanford who replaced Karen Wright in July 2021. (Amy Wright and Karen Wright are not related.) Karen Wright left the EDC post after 12 years as executive director to head Vision Development Group, which opened Blackjack Offi ce Center.
