Dublin man charged with intoxication assault
Dubliner Nicholas King, 27, is in Erath County Jail following an accident Tuesday that resulted in the injury of a pedestrian.
According to Department of Public Safety Reports, King was traveling east on County Road 401 about a mile northwest of Lingleville when he ran his 1996 Chevrolet pick-up off the roadway and became stuck in the mud.
A passenger in the truck, Tony Onnsy, 27 of Bell Tower, California, then reportedly got out to push the truck when King reportedly ran over and severely injured him.
King then took Onnsy to Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville.
The responding trooper found the driver of the Chevrolet to be intoxicated and under the influence of alcohol and arrested the driver for intoxication assault. King was then placed in the Erath County Jail.
Intoxication assault is a felony of the third degree, punishable by 2 to 10 years in prison, and by a possible fine not to exceed $10,000.
No bond for King had been set and no other information was available as of press time.
