Dublin ISD to deliver food during break

Dublin ISD released the following release this morning announcing the delivery of food during the closure in response to the coronavirus emergency:

In response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, starting Monday, March 23, Dublin ISD will be expanding its food service offerings to include delivered meals.

This new service will be in addition to the current food service available for walk-up service at the Intermediate Campus.

It is the desire of the District to serve both its rural and urban students as best we can throughout this crisis.  This process will also serve as one of the mediums for delivery of packets for home instructional materials.

The other opportunity to pick up instructional packets will occur at the Intermediate Campus for grades PK-6 and the Secondary Campus for grades 7-12.

Breakfast, lunch, and instructional packets will be delivered via current and additional bus route services.  Lunch will be delivered via a late-morning route service.  Rural breakfast routes will start at 8 a.m. and run approximately two hours later than normal.  For example, if your normal route pickup is 6:15 a.m. then you can expect breakfast delivery at 8:15 a.m.

Lunch will be delivered approximately three hours after the breakfast delivery.

For example, if your breakfast is delivered at 8:15 a.m. then expect delivery of lunch at approximately 11:15 a.m.  Please note, in-town routes have their own delivery schedule with times and locations listed below.

Home Instructional Packet delivery:
1.    Home instructional packets will be delivered each Monday morning until the crisis is over.  Completed packets may be returned to the appropriate bus each Friday morning or sooner.
2.    Home Instructional Packets may be picked up at the Intermediate Campus for grades PK-6 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and for grades 7-12 at the Secondary Campus from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Completed packets may be returned to the appropriate campus each Friday morning or sooner.

Parents of students in grades PK-6 will receive a personal call from a school member to discuss this process and answer questions some time Thursday, March 19, or Friday, March 20.
