It is hard to believe we are already six weeks into the school year! Dublin Intermediate has truly “Roared into Greatness,” and our campus has been full of energy, learning, and lots of fun.
We are excited to have welcomed our fourthgrade students to campus! They have settled into their new routines, discovered which house they belong to, and even had the opportunity to participate in one of our favorite traditions—“Are You Taller Than the Principal?”—during lunch. It has been so much fun getting to know our newest Lions and watching them become part of our campus family.
Academically, our students are already making great strides. Teachers and students are moving through instructional units at a steady pace, building knowledge and skills each day. We are proud of the hard work happening in classrooms and look forward to seeing our students continue to grow throughout the year.
This Friday will be an exciting one for our Lions! Students who earned perfect attendance during the first six weeks will have the opportunity to run through the lion at the varsity football game. Our students who participated in Mini Drill Team Camp will also perform at the pep rally and football game. We love celebrating our students and giving them opportunities to shine!
We will also celebrate the end of our first six weeks with our first House Meeting on Friday, September 24. Our House system is an important part of our campus culture, building relationships, encouraging teamwork, and creating a strong sense of belonging for every student.
Attendance Matters Week is September 21–24! We will celebrate with fun dress-up days while reminding our students of an important message: Show up, be here, and make it count! Every school day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of the Lion Pride.
Finally, be sure to mark your calendars for the Dublin Intermediate Fall Festival on October 2 from 6:00–8:30 p.m. Our staff is already planning some fun booth games for our students, and we cannot wait to see our families and community members there!
It is going to be a wonderful year at Dublin Intermediate. We are proud of our students, grateful for our teachers and staff, and thankful for a community that continues to support our Lions. We are just getting started, and we are ready to keep roaring into greatness!
