Pumpkins o’ plenty along with fall and Halloween decor can be found at many locations in and around Dublin. As October rolls in and cooler temperatures approach, citizens are embracing fall in all of its autumn glory. Here are a few local places you may want to check out if you are on the hunt for fall fun or just want a nice pumpkin.

Country Flower Plant Farm Located at 9670 US-377, the large nursery is boasting a huge selection of pumpkins this year ranging in prices from $1 for mini pumpkins, up to $40 for giant pumpkins. Most regular pumpkins are anywhere from $6 to $10, depending on size.

Recently receiving their second shipment because of already selling out once this year, the nursery is encouraging pumpkin lovers to shop early since pumpkin supplies are limited due to the Texas drought this year.

A wide variety of metal Halloween signs, pumpkin pots and more are available at the nursery along with mums, cornstalks, pansies, sunflowers and purple fountain grass perfect for fall plantings.

Photos are welcome and encouraged at the Country Flower Plant Farm. The nursery is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Brookshire Brothers

Conveniently located in the heart of Dublin at 208 N. Patrick St., a wide variety of pumpkins can be found for sale in the store. Regular jack-o-lantern pumpkins are available for $6.48 along with pie pumpkins, little painted pumpkins and white pumpkins, all of which were grown in the U.S.

The store also offers Halloween supplies and of course, groceries for those (hopefully) chilly approaching days to make soup.

The store is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.

Raven’s Ledge

Recently opened in downtown Dublin at the former location of Grafton Market at 118 S. Grafton Street, Raven’s Ledge and The Pumpkin Patch is offering a unique Halloween experience where kids and adults alike can pick out a pumpkin and decorate it if they would like.

Pumpkin purchases range from $2.50 to $10 for regular pumpkins and $7 to $12 for specialty pumpkins.

Decorating (which is not mandatory to purchase pumpkins at Raven’s Ledge but a heck of a lot of fun) costs $2 for smaller pumpkins and $5 for large one. Each pumpkin purchase comes with a special kid’s book. Anyone is welcome to decorate a pumpkin, not just kids.

The store also offers a variety of Halloween wreaths for sale, cotton candy, boo buckets (think Easter basket but Halloween themed) and showcases a whole skeleton family.

The shop is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and closed on Sunday. The store is operated by Marlinna Sieperda and her family.

Harris Old West Pumpkin Patch New to the fall entertainment scene, Michael Harris and his family are operating an old west town right outside of Dublin where fall fun is showcased along with a plethora of pumpkins.

The 1880s themed town will showcase learning about history, some beautiful Longhorns, hayrides, chuckwagons, concessions, games and family fun along with a ton of pumpkins to be picked from a pumpkin patch. Photo opportunities are also available.

Entrance is $5 per person but Harris said if someone can’t afford it, they are still welcome.

Pumpkins will range from $5 to $10 each, depending on the size and variety.

Growingpumpkinshimself for many years, Harris said his own grandkids love them and he wanted to bring something to Dublin to entertain the community.

Though his own pumpkins did not make this year due to the lack of rain, a host of pumpkins made the trip from Floydada.

The pumpkin patch will be open weekends in October from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.

Extended hours and days are expected on Halloween weekend and updates can be found on their Facebook page.

The patch is located at 1129 County Road 304.
