The Bosque River Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will meet on Tuesday, November 10, 2:00 PM at Cedar Point Baptist Church, 21171 FM 205 Buff Dale . Some map apps call FM 205 Old Granbury Road.

The program will be given by each attending member who will have 2 minutes to tell of their immediate family members who have been in the military as well as their ancestors who have served. Members are encouraged to bring pictures of their veterans.

DRT honor days of September 3, Stephen F. Austin’s birthday and November 6, DRT Founders’ Day will also be recognized.

Members of DRT are women who are direct descendants of a man or woman who was of honorable service to the Republic of Texas prior to February, 1846. For more information on becoming a member contact chapter registrar Toni Morgan ( 254-396-1162) or go to www.drtinfo.org.

Pictured is Lt jg McGee Moore, husband of DRT posthumous member Cloy White Moore, father of DRT member Judith D’Amico, grandfather of member Elise Moore Miller, and great grandfather of Children of the Republic of Texas members Hannah and Jackson Miller, was from Comanche County. He served in World War II as a navy instructor of pilots.
