Cottonwood planting knowledge for skills/life

Cottonwood Church is inviting everyone to learn leadership skills and crop creation during “Garden for Life,” a free 14-week course starting March 24.

The classes will be held Sunday afternoons from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at Cottonwood (273 CR 527, Dublin) and held in participation with “Farmer Fred.” It will be held once per week for 14 consecutive weeks beginning with soil/ compost preparations.

Since 1994, “Farmer Fred” has been sharing knowledge and experiences growing fresh organic vegetables and dynamic leadership skills with families and individuals from all walks of life. The course provides both instruction and practical experience as participants grow more than 50 diverse types of produce, make compost, harvest, develop leadership skills and share the fruits of their labor.

Participants will also receive: a gardening kit, detailed notes and resources, access to seed/ transplants, links to video instructions and lots of fresh produce.
