Comanche auction starts weekend of Sept. 11

The annual Comanche County Healthcare Foundation fundraiser starts this weekend with a virtual auction with many items listed.

Included in those items are a helicopter hog hunt, a zero turn mower and the list goes on and on including many gift certificates. All can be viewed now at

Bidders can register at that site also.

Items purchased can be picked up at the hospital Sept. 19 or from the merchant who made the donation.

The fundraiser is being termed 20-20 - A Vision for the Future.

This year, the Foundation board has also decided to provide a meal on Sept. 16 to all workers at the Comanche County Medical Center to show the public’s appreciation for all their work during the pandemic. That meal will be catered by Littlejohn’s.

Thus far, more than $10,000 has been donated for this year in cash and it is hoped that more than $50,000 can be raised totally that will go toward purchasing items for patient care. This year’s proceeds will go toward purchase of sterilization and anesthesia equipment for the surgical suite.

In the past 14 years, the foundation has raised more than $900,000 to go towards items for patient care.

Anyone wishing to donate an auction item or cash can do so by contacting  Board President Mark Beaty at 432-842-3275 or mailing a check to the foundation at P. O. Box 634, Comanche, TX. 76442.
