Scanning equipment demonstration
Do you have some treasured photographs that you have been wanting to scan? Scanning a photo or document creates a digital (electronic) copy that you can share without having print a hard copy.
The copy can be emailed or passed along by a flash drive or memory device. Skip the task of getting the photo to your local photo lab by scanning it in seconds in the Janella Hendon Genealogy Room at the Dublin Public Library.
At 1 p.m. Saturday Feb. 11, Sheryl Rascher will demonstrate how easy it is to use the Plustek Photo Scanner, scanning the 4 x 6” photo at 300 DPI in 2 seconds! Scan as large as 8 x 10” on this scanner. Thanks to a donation by ECGS member Karen Reich, this scanner, ranked No. 1 on Amazon, is available for use in the Genealogy Room. This demonstration will only take a few minutes Please schedule a time to bring in your photos for scanning so that library staff or an ECGS volunteer will be available to assist you. ecgs.dpl@gmail.com Sheryl Rascher (817) 6805691
