CCMC to offer Diabetes Relief session

Comanche County Medical Center is hosting another public information session on the Diabetes Relief(r) treatment offered through the CCMC outpatient infusion center at the hospital, and at the new Texas Outpatient & Infusion Center in Brownwood.

The last session of the year is at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec.12 in the hospital cafeteria room, 10201 Highway 16 North, Comanche.

This session will also be provided as a live stream to the Brownwood clinic. Join Dr. Dwayne Miller and Rachel Hilliard, FNP, who discuss the details of the treatment and answer your questions. The 2023 schedule resumes in mid-January, dates to be announced. Call 325-3305010 for more information.

Festive Dublin Market this Saturday

Come to the market at Wright Park, Saturday afternoon, on your way to the downtown events. Come shop local crafters, creators, and producers before the parade and Santa. Free toy giveway Wednesday, Dec. 7

There will also be a free toy giveaway for those in need from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 7 at First Baptist Church of Dublin.

Brown Bags of Hope now on sale

Looking for a simple way to make a big impact in your community this holiday season? For just $10, Brookshire Brothers customers can purchase a Brown Bag of Hope containing enough shelf-stable products to feed a family of four.

The stores then redistribute the bags to local schools, nonprofits, and others within the communities.

CCMC hosting blood drive

The Comanche County Medical Center will be hosting a blood drive on its main campus from 1-6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19.

The Hendrick Blood Mobile will be parked in the CCMC front parking lot. The hospital is located at 10201 Hwy. 16 North in Comanche.

Greens Creek to present Christmas program

Green’s Creek Baptist Church will present its annual Christmas musical program at 10:50 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 18.

The choir program is entitled “I Call Him Lord,” under the direction of Bob Becker, narrated by Dr. Rudy and Crystal Tarpley. Technical director is Isaac Belher and featuring soloist Gaye Gibson. The presentation will be signed by Susan Sharp.

Other members of the choir include Barbara Jones, Stacey Koiner, Betty Hiser, Judy James, Vicki Keith, Gloriana Tadlock, Payton Ferguson, Joetta Phillips, Shirley McDonald, Nora Carter, Dave Keith, Charlie Phillips, Randy Sharp, Jim Myers, Gary Basham, Jackie James, Wayne Gibson, and Mac McKinnon. Ben McCleery is pastor of Green’s Creek Baptist.

Everyone is also invited to attend the annual Christmas Eve candlelight and communion service at 6 p.m. Dec. 24 at Greens’ Creek Baptist.
