CTFS hosting BBQ fundraiser

Cross Timbers Family Services will host a BBQ fundraiser and open house on Thursday, Oct, 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Meat will be smoked by Fat Mary’s Catering and will include: beef brisket, pork butt, pork tenderloin, beef tenderloin butt and 2-meat plates (in limited quantities) with sides. The event is being sponsored by Fat Mary’s, Texas Beef Company, McCleery Family Durocs and Lone Star Ag Credit. Takeout meals can be purchased by visiting crosstimbershelps. org. Market Days return Oct. 17

This Saturday should be a perfect fall day. Start it off with a trip to the Dublin Market, Wright Park, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. We expect more than two dozen vendors, including some new vendors. New items have been crafted, picked, pickled, canned, and baked to delight you. Many items would make unique gifts. A look at Dublin Market Days Facebook page will give you a glance at what will be on offer. Shoppers will find some things to enjoy now, and some things to enjoy under the tree later. Abbott sets date for District 30 Run-Off

Governor Greg Abbott issued a proclamationon Saturday setting Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 as the date for the special runoff election to fill the seat being vacated by Senator Pat Fallon. Shelley Luther and Drew Springer will be facing each other for the position after splitting the vote in close results locally and district-wide.

The early voting period for this runoff election will begin Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
