Erath County United Way is currently holding a Coat Drive for those in need.

New and clean, gently used coats are being accepted and all sizes are needed.

Coats are to be brought to the first floor of the Erath County Courthouse in Stephenville. Coats can be brought Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Dec. 31.

There is a large box inside the courthouse to place the items inside.

This is a great way for Erath citizens to help other Erath citizens!

Greens Creek to host Musical Program Greens Creek Baptist Church will present its annual Christmas music program under the direction of Bob Becker in the morning service of Sunday, Dec. 17 starting at 10:50 a.m. The production is titled “Christmas - the story of His love.”

Songs will include: Angels from the Realms of Glory, Noel Medley, It’s Still the Greatest Story Ever Told, O Little Town, The Glory of Christmas, Gloria (Our Saviour Found Us) and the finale, The Story of His Love.

Stacey Koiner will perform a solo with Pastor Ben McCleery serving as narrator. Other members of the choir include: Jackie and Judy James, David and Vicki Keith, Charlie and Joetta Phillips, Nora Carter, Ozzy Kendall, Payton Ferguson, Randy Sharp, Shirley McDonald, Wayne and Gaye Gibson, Mac McKinnon, Zade Kendall, Hayden Hewitt, Gloriana Tadlock, Gary Basham, Barbara Jones, Betty Hiser, Jim Myers and Cynthia Newton. Everyone is invited to attend!

The church is also having a Christmas Eve Candlelight service at 6 p.m.

LISD Christmas program set

Lingleville ISD students will be participating in the annual Christmas program at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 at the old gymnasium in the intermediate building.

Everyone is invited for some holiday cheer to celebrate this special time of year.

Austin Street Fabrics to host Cookie Exchange Austin Street Fabrics will be hosting a cookie exchange from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16.

Anyone who wants to participate is encouraged to bring two dozen cookies to eat and share.

There will also be other refreshments. Austin Street Fabrics is located at 112 S. Grafton St.

Blood Drive set for Dec. 17

A blood drive in honor of Josey Roman will be held from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 at the Carter Care Blood Bus parked at The Station at 825 N. Patrick.

The drive is being hosted by the Dublin Rotary Club.

Republic women to have Meet & Greet Mark your calendars and come join The Cross Timbers Republican Women for a Christmas Meet & Greet, everyone welcome.

Calling all women who want to make a difference!

We invite you to come to our last meeting for 2023 and see how we can all take control of our own destinies Come mingle with ladies of a like mind and see how we are making a difference in our communities, our counties and our state, and in turn this great country we call home.

This meeting will be held at noon Thursday, Dec. 21 at the Wellington State Bank on the Northwest Loop. Members will be providing food, so expect a wonderful meal. We are donating diapers to Choices, so please bring some if you wish to contribute.

CWJC/WMU meeting set Thursday CWJC/WMU will be hosting its meeting at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 in the FellowshipHallatCommunity Baptist Church, located at 505 W. Mesquite Street in Dublin.

A Meet & Greet will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a potluck lunch at noon.

The program will include: Who was Lottie Moon? A Tribute to Mary, Happy Birthday Jesus and Christmas Carols. Everyone is welcome!
