State Pecan Show Champions

The Texas Pecan Show is the largest and most competitive competition in the world, with a continuous history dating back in its current organized format to 1950. Comanche County Pecan Growers are some of the best in the world.

Results from the 2021 State Pecan Show are proof of our local producers’ horticultural abilities. Sorrells Farms had the State Champion Native Pecan that tested 68.1 nuts per pound with a 51.5% kernel.

On the other end of the spectrum Mr. Keaton Braim placed 1st in the lightest nut category with 667 nuts per pound. Other Comanche County producers that placed well are listed below.

Harvest is just around the corner, be sure to purchase some good local county pecans, well maybe not Keaton’s.
