Dublin and the surrounding area is joining Eastland County as they mourn the loss of ECSO Deputy David Bosecker.
The deputy was killed in the line of duty Friday, July 21. At approximately 9 p.m. Friday deputies responded to a domestic fight at a residence between Cisco and Rising Star.
Deputy Bosecker arrived first and began immediately receiving gunfire from the suspect. He was struck and fatalty wounded.
The suspect Cody Pritchard, 42, was arrested and booked into the Stephens County Jail for Capital Murder of a Peace Officer.
Deputy Bosecker had been in law enforcement for more than 21 years and was a master peace officer. Services will be Saturday, July 29 at 2 p.m. at the Brownwood Coliseum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deputy David Bosecker Memorial Fund at First Financial Bank in Eastland.
“Our prayers go out to the Eastland Sheriff’s Office, his family and friends,” Erath County Judge Brandon Huckabee said at Monday’s commissioners court meeting.
