Quanah Parker Day set Sept. 9

The Comanche County Historical Museum announces the Celebration of Quanah Parker Day at the Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9. Native American Indian and Board Member, Lee White plans to present information and artifacts of Quanah Parker. Rod Corpus, a Comanche Native American will be our special guest. There will also be a video presentation. The Comanche Museum is located at 402 Moorman Dr.

Annual Plant, Iris Sale Saturday near Hico

It’s time for the annual iris and plant sale.  Saturday, Sept. 2, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out.  True Vine Fellowship Church, 18040 U S Highway 281, Hico, Texas. (Approximately 1/2 mile south of Hico, Texas). Shop early for best selection. Members will be available to answer your questions.

Dublin Chamber mixer tonight
The Dublin Chamber of Commerce will be hosting  a mixer from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31 at Grafton Center. 
There will be free snacks, drinks and door prizes. The theme is ‘Tell Us What you Want’ with the chance to meet community leaders, discuss wants, needs and desires for the town. RSVP to Blanca Martineau via text at 435-229-8369.
Grafton Center is located in downtown Dublin at 118 S. Grafton Street in Dublin.

Humane Society offers microchipping
The Erath County Humane Society will be offering $10 pet microchipping from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 in Dublin.
This is a drive-thru event so owners and their pets can remain in their vehicles. 
Please pull into the alley between Dublin Bottling Works and Celebration Park at 108 E. Elm Street.  The line will form around the corner on South Grafton Street.
