Lions Club sponsoring raffle
Dublin Lions Club is offering a prize package in a raffle to be given away during their annual Irish Stampede June 10.
The big package includes a $150 gift card for meat from Thompson’s Processing; a cooler from Higginbotham’s and a new Lions grill designed and constructed by Jar Head Construction Co. Tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20. Tickets can be purchased from Club President Daniel Smith at 254-977-3229 or from members Raymond Salinas, Melissa Summers, Bill Rodriguez, David Cleveland, Steve Hightower or Mac McKinnon.
Time to register for run Dublin Lions Club is once again planning their annual Irish Stampede for the second Saturday in June.
This will be the 22nd annual run in celebration of Dairy Month set for June 10 at 7:30 a.m. for the 10K and 5K with a 2K to follow completion of the longer runs.
Cost to register is $25 until June 1 and $30 after that. This race begins on North Park alongside the Dublin Public Library. Race packets can be picked up on Friday night or on Saturday morning starting at 5:30 a.m. prior to the race.
Both the 10K and 5K are on certified courses.
Each runner will receive a special t-shirt, a race medal and a goodie bag from local merchants.
Cash prizes will be awarded to top runners in certain categories along with specially marked milk bottles and bottles of drinks from Dublin Bottling Works.

Carlton Cemetery Assoc. to meet June 3 The Carlton Cemetery Association will have their annual meeting at the tabernacle in the cemetery on Saturday, June 3.
We encourage anyone who has loved ones buried there to come.
We will have coffee and doughnuts at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting at 9 a.m. on June 3. Please bring lawn chairs.
DeLeon Area Historical Museum presents art show
That’s Art! continues through May 27. Art created by people in this area or in the possession of people in this area will be on display at the DeLeon Area Historical Museum at 173 North Texas Street.
There will be oil paintings, water color pictures, photography, wood work, needle work, and many other types of art. The Museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is free.
