Texas Outpatient & Infusion Center, an affiliate of Comanche County Medical Center (CCMC), recently opened the newest part of its healthcare system, an Occupational Health clinic, called WorkMed. The clinic, located at 2287 Northwest Loop in Stephenville, provides workplace medical care that benefits employers and their employees in Stephenville and the surrounding area.

WorkMed contracts with employers needing a variety of workplace medical care, such as pre-employment physicals, DOT physicals, drug and alcohol screenings, Workers’ Compensation medical care, and more.

“At WorkMed, we unite expertise with compassion, striving to elevate occupational health standards in Erath and surrounding counties. Our commitment is rooted in promoting employee wellness andensuring a safer, healthier workforce for the community we proudly serve,” CCMC CEO Dr. Larry Troxell said of the new Occupational Health clinic.

These medical services and others are directed by Grant Starey, FNP-C, a board-certified nurse practitioner.

Starey is a native Texan and comes to the CCMC health system with experience in primary and critical care, interventional pain, Worker’s Compensation medical care, and med-surg. He works collaboratively with his patients to provide a comprehensive treatment plan and achieve wellness goals.

“Our Occupational Health Clinic is designed to deliver comprehensive services, including physical examinations, substance abuse testing, diagnostic services, and expert care for work-related injuries,” said CCMC in a release. “At WorkMed, we prioritize effective health, safety, and strategies for preventing workplace injuries and illnesses.”

The new clinic marks the expansion of Occupational Medicine services offered under CCMC with services offered at the main hospital, clinics in Comanche and Rising Star, and in Dublin at Dublin Family Medicine.
