Open testing for State Troopers set in Abilene
Northwest Texas Region Open Testing for State Troopers is being held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 5 at Wylie Bulldog Stadium, 4502 Antilley Road, Abilene, TX, 76606.
This is specifically for B-2023 and C-2023 (Advanced Peace Officer School).
Trooper trainee pay is $5,185 while in recruit school (30 weeks) and trooper I pay is $82,208 annually after successful completion of probationary period (1 year). Advanced peace officer academy for certified LEO’s with two years consecutive years experience. Certified officers with four years experience may qualify for Trooper II salary of $100,115 upon completion of probationary period.
First Methodist to host Fall festival
The First Methodist Church of Dublin will be hosting a Fall Festival at noon Sunday, Nov. 6.
There will be pulled pork sandwiches, chips and a drink along with the opportunity to shop at a holiday bazaar where there will be homemade baked goods, jellies, jams, handmade knitted and crocheted items and other holiday gifts.
They are raising money to purchase a church van.
The church is located at 630 Highland Avenue.
CWJC partnering with Five Below for Dublin Angels
Five Below in Stephenville is hosting a benefit to help Angels in conjunction with the Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC).
Anyone purchasing items from Five Below from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 can get 10 percent of their purchase donated to CWJC.
Just mention CWJC. Dublin Angels can be picked up to be adopted at CWJC in downtown Dublin, located at 106 N. Patrick during the holiday season.
