Erath County Master Gardeners Spring Plant Sale Saturday 
The Erath County Master Gardeners will be hosting the 2024 Spring Plant Sale Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at a NEW LOCATION at AgriLife Center, 1229 N. Hwy. 281 in Stephenville.

The entrance on the Lingleville Highway is the most convenient. There will be dozens of plant types for sale including Texas natives, plants for sun and shade, indoor and outdoor patio plants, annuals and perennials, cacti and succulents, garden accessories and fairy gardens.

Certified Master Gardeners will be on hand to help with plant selection and provide expert advice on butterfly gardens, rainwater harvesting and more.

Ashley Sanders benefit Saturday

There will be a benefit for Ashley Sanders Saturday, April 27 at McCoy’s Building Supply, located at 3001 NW Loop in Stephenville.

A $5 lunch with hotdogs, chips and drink will be available as well as a bakesale, various raffle items and donations will be accepted.

All proceeds will go to Ashley Sanders and her family after the unexpected loss of her husband.

Highland Community Center Fundraiser 
There will be a fundraiser for the Highland Community Center from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 27.

There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, chips, dessert and bottled drinks.

Meals are served for donations to help pay the electric bill.

The community center is located eight miles west of Dublin on Farm-to-Market 2156.

Comanche Museum to host art show

The Comanche County Museum is excited to invite local artisans to show their art: handcrafted ( table top or wall size) paintings, or drawings, needlework or stitching; children or adults.

The show will be May 1-9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Please bring your own easels for large pieces. For more information call the museum at 325-356-5115.

The museum is located at 402 Moorman Rd. in Comanche, West of Bayer Motor Co.

All art must be picked Thursday, May 9.

Dublin Elementary Pre-K, Kinder Registration

Dublin Elementary School will be hosting Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. April 29 and 30. Pre-K must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 and Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1. You need birth certificate, immunization record, social security card, proof of residency and proof of income (for Pre-K). Parents will need an email to setup Parent Portal.

Bilingual Summer School Parent meeting 

There will be a Pre-K and Kinder Bilingual Summer School Parent meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 at the Dublin Elementary School Cafeteria.

Memorial Day flag placement in Lingleville 

Those who wish to remember those who served are invited to place flags at Lingleville Cemeteries at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25.

Volunteers will meet at Lingleville East End Cemetery first and then go to Lingleville West End Cemetery.

U.S. flags will be provided.

Maddry family fundraiser Monday

There will be a fundraiser for the Maddry family from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 29 at the Dublin City Park near the concession stand.

The fundraiser will include tacos and aqua fresca.

A three taco and an agua fresca will be $13 or three tacos are $10. One taco is $4 or a single agua fresca is $5.

The fundraiser helps the family of Rachel Maddry who is battling cancer.
