SHARP

Norman Dean Sharp of Dublin, Texas returned to his loving savior on June 26, 2024, in Stephenville, Texas. Norman, a Dublin native, loved his home in the country and the community surrounding it. He was born February 23, 1937, in Dublin, Texas to his parents, Hazel (Williams) and Zillman Sharp.

Norman graduated from Dublin High School in 1958. During his lifetime, he worked on the farm beside his father and drove heavy equipment for various employers all over Erath County. Until his illness, he was an active member of Purvis Baptist Church. Norman was known for his morning pastime of sitting on Patrick Street and watching vehicles pass by, waving with a smile to each passerby. A fond memory is him and his family sitting on the cellar and taking turns cranking the handle for homemade ice cream.

He loved his modest life and being a familiar, smiling face to the community. Norman knew no stranger and was always willing to help when he could.

Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Zillman Sharp, and twin sister Norma Jean Westmoreland and brotherin-law, Jerry.

He is survived by a host of loving cousins and friends.
