Please consider donating time and/or money to Meals on Wheels of Erath County. I run a once-aweek delivery on one of the two Dublin routes, bringing meals to local people in need. I’ve been doing this for almost ten years and it’s been rewarding.
Deliverers are sometime the only people that some clients see for days on end, and our check-ins are valuable to them beyond the meals. Some clients cannot routinely get to a store to purchase food. Some clients cannot stand in the kitchen for long enough to prepare a healthy meal. Some are recovering from surgery; all are interesting to talk with.
Dublin needs more drivers to fill the schedule or help when others can’t make it. Donations are especially needed now with cuts to federal programs which had contributed to local Meals on Wheels efforts all across the nation. Your support of our Meals on Wheels will be greatly appreciated.
