Following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Small Business Saturday will offer Dubliners the opportunity to shop local and purchase Christmas presents.
This year’s Small Business Saturday is Nov. 30. Founded by American Express in 2010 and officially cosponsored by the Small Business Association since 2011, Small Business Saturday has become an important part of small businesses’ busiest shopping season. Historically, reported projected spending among U.S. consumers who shopped at independent retailers and restaurants on Small Business Saturday reached an estimated $17.9 billion according to the 2022 Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey commissioned by American Express.
Many businesses in town will be offering sales and specials for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. “By shopping locally it strengthens our economy by cycling money back into the community, creates more jobs and our small businesses give back to our community,' Dublin Economic Development Executive Director Noah Cullis said.
