Helen Covey
Helen Blue Covey of Comanche, Texas returned home to her loving Savior on Nov. 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on Dec. 18, 1953, in Hico, Texas to Vernice (Hair) and Tillard Blue, Helen was a longtime member of the Church of Christ.
She was strong in her faith and compassion for others, always giving her time and nurture to her family and the elderly in need. Helen was known for her love of attending church, her flowers, and her garden. She even opened her own home to anyone who needed it.
Helen is preceded in passing by her parents, Vernice and Tillard Blue, two sons, Kenneth Covey and Eric Covey, and her brother, Lee Blue.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Jimmy Covey, her son Charles and his wife Misty Covey, granddaughters Alexis Norwood, Jessika Covey, and LeeAnn Covey, great-granddaughter Elizabeth Norwood, her sisters-in-law and brothersin- law Brenda and David Gregory, Johnny and Kathy Covey, Ann and J.D. Spencer, nephews Keith Knutson and Daniel Gregory, and Teresa (Corya) Beach along with a host of other extended relatives.
Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, at Harrell Memorial Chapel followed by interment at Lower Greens Cemetery in Dublin, Texas..
