Dublin PD released the following statement about a reported fatal shooting that happened last night in the 400 block of W. Valley:
On Sunday March 27, 2022 just after 8 p.m., the Dublin Police Department received a report of a shots fired call in the 400 block of West Valley Street in Dublin, Erath County, Texas.
Upon arrival, officers located a female who was deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The investigation is still very active and ongoing at this time by local and state law enforcement agencies.
This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no evidence to suggest that the public is in any danger at this time.
"The Dublin Police Department wishes to express our deepest sympathy to the victim as well as her family," wrote Dublin Police Chief Cameron Ray in the release. "We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the assistance provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety Texas Ranger Division, Stephenville Police Department, Erath County District Attorney's Office, Erath County Sheriff's Office and Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. We would also like to thank the Dublin Fire Department and Dublin EMS for their support last night."
