What a wonderful world at Dublin Elementary. The first 6 weeks have come and gone with students achieving great grades, AR certifications, STAR Student and Lion Leaders. I want to say thank you to PTO for a wonderful Fall Festival. It was great to see parents and students interacting in games and with each other.
October is full of fun activities starting with Red Ribbon week. Red Ribbon week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. Students are encouraged to participate in dress up days. Dress up days are listed below by date.
Monday, Oct. 24 – Wear red to stand up against drugs Tuesday, Oct. 25 – Team up against drugs – wear your favorite sports team Wednesday, Oct. 26 – Put a cap on drugs – wear a cap or hat Thursday, Oct. 27 Camo day – wear camo to stand strong against drugs Friday, Oct. 28 – Spook away drugs – wear your Halloween costume To end the great and fun month of October will be the Spook Parade.
Students are encouraged to participate by wearing their Halloween costume and walk around the track at Memorial Stadium.
The Spook Parade will start at 2 pm. Parents are encouraged to attend. We hope to see you all there.
