Erath County officials reported 28 new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Thursday night (Nov. 12). Twenty-one of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, two were from Dublin and fiver were from rural parts of Erath County.

 

Total deaths since March stand at 18 to reflects numbers from the state.  Erath County Emergency Management Coordinator Susan Driskill previously reported that the county is using the same number as the Department of State Health Services since Erath is no longer receiving any information on COVID deaths.

 

The number of total cases increased by 117 in the past week, standing at 1,160 in the Nov. 5 report and 1,277 a week later. 

 

Active cases increased from 173 to 206 in the past week while recovered cases increased from 969 on Nov. 5 to 1,053 in the report from Thursday night.

 

Six new hospitalizations were reported this week to increase the number of hospitalizations since March to 53.

 

County officials remind residents that according to the Texas Department of State Health Services, there are things everyone can do to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

-Wear a face covering in public 

-Stay six feet apart 

-Wash or sanitize hands often 

-If sick, get tested and stay at home 

-Stay home when possible
