COVID Report - Oct. 15, 2020
Erath County officials reported 16 new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Thursday night (Oct. 15). Eight of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, four were Dublin residents and four were rural residents of the county.
The number of total cases increased by 81 in the past week, standing at 846 in the Oct. 8 report and 927 a week later.
Active cases grew from 117 to 145 in the past week while recovered cases increased from 724 on Oct. 8 to 777 in the report from Thursday night.
Reported deaths in patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 since March have remained at five. Seven new hospitalizations were reported this week to increase the number of hospitalizations since March to 32.
County officials remind residents that according to the Texas Department of State Health Services, there are things everyone can do to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
-Wear a face covering in public
-Stay six feet apart
-Wash or sanitize hands often
-If sick, get tested and stay at home
-Stay home when possible
