Whether the Weather

From the Editor...

As a seventh-generation Texan, I know better than to complain about rain.

I will say, however, that the storms that rolled in on Sept. 1 and cut power to the office were inconvenient.

For those that don’t know, we publish our paper on Tuesday night, usually around 6 p.m.

I was a bit behind schedule with four pages open and unsaved progress when the whole office went dark.

Realizing that the power wouldn’t be back on for several hours, I resolved to come back as soon as it came on and finish the paper. That turned out to be 10:30 p.m.

I chugged a coffee and got to work, finishing finally around 1 a.m.

Several of my friends started to sympathize with ‘Oh, poor you,’ but in the grand scheme of things, It was interesting pulling my first all-nighter probably since college.

I do apologize for the delays in the Sept. 3 that resulted from the storm, but we did get a lot of good rain.
