Mrs. Dykowski... enjoys the springish

Mrs. Dykowski ...

Sickness and cold weather has kept the girls and I indoors way more than we would prefer for the past couple of months.

So with everyone finally well and a little warm weather last week, we took every opportunity to get outside.

Darci has discovered a few new favorite outdoor activities, including throwing dirt clods, drawing with a stick and “cooking” with flowers.

Audrey doesn’t love having to play on a blanket, but since she’s still in the put-everything-in-her-mouth phase, I can’t let her be free in the yard.

Both girls love to swing, so the swingset we bought a couple of years ago is really getting a lot of use.

I can tell a major difference in everyone’s attitude since we’ve been getting more sunshine.

As I write this before the end of February, I’m certain there will be another round of winter weather, but the feeling of spring is infectious, so I have trouble being too cautious with my excitement.

The dandilions are in full bloom, which would irritate me normally, but this year, they are magical because Darci sees them that way.

So here’s to a magical spring, however long it lasts.
