“Google can bring you back 100,000 answers. A librarian can bring you back the right one.”
This is a quote from staunch library supporter and author Neil Gaiman.
April 23-29 is National Library Week, bringing attention to what a library brings to the community it serves from lending books and movies to providing access to technology and resources to providing assistance for those who need help in tasks like filing paperwork or seeking employment.
Dublin Public Library does all this and more for those who walk through its doors.
According to a quarterly report, the Dublin Public Library had 789 patron visits in January, 723 in February and 927 in March.
There were 1,351 items checked out in January, 1,368 in February and 1,498 in March.
The library also offers access to check out digital books through partnerships. Patrons checked out 205 E-books in January, 171 in February and 196 in March.
