“Deciphering Old Handwriting” With Pearl Dill

A great opportunity to learn about reading original deeds, wills, family letters, etc.

Customs and practices of writing techniques are quite different and can frequently be interpreted incorrectly.

Dill has spent enormous time in courthouses, cemeteries and other dark corners of Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Oklahoma, Virginia, California, and Missouri as well as teaching beginning genealogy and digital foot printing.

“A Walk Along the Beach”

Debbie Macomber

Always a comfortable and comforting read, Macomber offers a tale of two sisters with a long history of interdependence and moving on. The challenges of making long needed changes personally and new business risks add plots twists.

Within hours one was in the hospital, one was in jail, one was dead, and one did get away. Still dealing with much personal trauma, the daughter of the one who got away finds that the other two survivors are watching her every move.

Perhaps this daughter knows more than anyone might have guessed. These years later one of the men is a war hero— having evaded a jail sentence by enlisting in the military—and the other has become a district attorney—a corrupt one.

The stage is set as all these players begin turning on each other. What will happen?
