Dear Editor:

Kudos to the Ben Hogan Museum of Dublin TX and the Legacy Golf Tournament.

Earlier this month, I visited Dublin to participate in the Ben Hogan Museum’s Golf Tournament and their Open House that was co-sponsored by the National Health & Public Safety History Museum. I had a wonderful time and was very impressed with how well the festivities played out. This was my fourth year coming to this event, and every year it just gets better and better.

I want to compliment Karen Wright from the Museum. Anybody who has ever tried to organize a golf tournament or a fund raiser knows the amount of work it takes to pull it off. The fact everything ran so smoothly is a testament to how much time and effort she put into making that weekend a success

I would also like to thank Jo Ellyn Turner, from the Central Inn. She is a wonderful person and really made us feel welcome.

Granny Clark’s Restaurant and Woody’s Place treated us with great food - Texas style. The patrons and workers there were wonderful.

Finally, I want to thank the entire town of Dublin for their hospitality. Everywhere I went, the Dubliners were most kind, polite and cordial.

I hope you all in Dublin realize what a treasure the Ben Hogan Museum is and appreciate what Karen Wright has done to make it such a special place. It is a first class homage to a great golfing champion and a gentleman. His life story is fascinating.

Thank you and I look forward to my next visit

Dear Editor:

Thank you to Ben Pate and the Dublin Historical Society for organizing and managing the Dublin Reunion June 12.

Thank you to Tammy Keeney and the Dublin National Bank for the bottled drinks and pastries.

Thank you to the many others who helped host the event.

The Community Building was just the right size for the mid-morning peak in attendance.
