Healthy Seniors Series The weather is bound to start cooling off in October and everyone will be wanting to get out and about as the holidays get closer.
The Comanche County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office is excited to offer the “Healthy Senior Series.” We have an excellent line-up of speakers that will cover a variety of topics ranging from health to managing finances.
The series will be on Thursdays starting on October 8th from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM at the Comanche Community Center located at 100 Indian Creek Drive, Comanche, TX. We will have some nice mid-morning snacks, tastings, and a meal for everyone on the final day of the series October 29th.
There is no fee to come, and everyone is invited to attend the programs.
Here is a quick look at what we will be offering during the series: October 8th- Texas Bank: “Banking and Fraud Prevention” Bingo October 15th- Erath County FCH Agent Andrea Brooks: “Texas Meets Mediterranean”- live cooking demonstration and tastings October 22nd- Kameron Mazurek Law Office: “Preparing Wills and Estate Planning” October 29th- Johnson County FCH Agent LeAnne Pollock: “Healthy Holiday Cooking Class”- live cooking demonstration and tastings All these speakers are excellent in their respective fields and will have some great information to share with everyone.
The Senior Series activities are designed to encourage people to rejuvenate and get going on with positive measures that can impact the areas of physical, social, financial, and mental wellness.
