Ladies tie for No. 2 in close call

Dublin is tied with Hamilton for second in the District behind undefeated Eastland after defeating Bangs and Early this week. 

The girls swept Bangs in three sets, 25-17, 25-12 and 25-14.

Kylie Curtoys served 100 percent on 16 serves, with three aces and set 14 assists. 

Bailey Noel led in kills with seven, followed by Maeleigh Geijsel with six kills and three blocks. 

Yakelin Morantes got 24 digs. 

Dublin 3, Early 2
Against Early, Dublin dropped the first and third sets 25-21 and 25-18. They won the second, fourth and final sets 25-21, 25-16 and 15-14. 
Bailey Noel hit a whopping 16 aces in the game, and Jordyn Ricks added 13 aces. 
Morantes grabbed 43 digs.
Curtoys set 29 assists, hit four kills and served 27 times with two aces and only one error. Addison Stout and Camry Porter each served 100 percent on 18 and 14 serves, respectively. 
On Friday the girls will face Comanche at home as the second round of district begins. Comanche is 0-6 in district so far this season. 
On Tuesday the Lady Lions will host No. 1 Eastland. It’s a blackout game, so fans wearing black will get in free.
