Dublin took down Coahoma Friday and Saturday to advance to the Area round of playoffs.

On Friday Dublin won 4-3 then cleaned up with a win on Saturday 11-1.

Dublin started game two with a three-run lead. Then Tim Teten and Rayce Jackson batted in three more in the second. Dublin benefitted from an error to get a seventh run before Coahoma batted in their only run of the game in the second inning.

Jackson and Griffin Pickett hit two more RBIs in the fourth, and Dublin took the win 11-1.

In a back-and-forth game one, Dublin held Coahoma scoreless until the end of the third inning.

After Coahoma took the lead, Dublin roared back in the fifth with an RBI by Keith Wright.

Coahoma retook the lead in the sixth inning, until back-to-back singles from Josh Hanes and Tim Teten tied things up.

Wright’s seventh-inning run brought the score to 4-3.

Teten closed the game on the mound.

In Area the team will face Tolar on Thursday in Tolar at 7 p.m. Then the teams will face off on the Lions’ home field Friday at 5 p.m. and again at 7 if needed.
