Lions secure third spot

Tim Teten dives safely into home plate Friday in a varsity victory, clinching the boys spot in playoffs

The Dublin Lions came back with a vengeance in the second round of District, defeating all five of their opponents and securing third place in District. 

The boys defeated Brady on Friday, 5-4. 

Against Brady, Josh Hanes hit four for four, Keith Wright, Rayce Jackson, Griffin Pickett and Blaize Leatherwood each hit three for three, Jared Ricks and Angel Ramirez each hit two for three and Tim Teten hit one for three.

Against Comanche, Wright, Pickett and Leatherwood hit four for four, Cervantes hit three for three, Jackson, Hanes and Ramirez hit three for four, Teten and Ricks hit two for four and Cameron Olvera hit one for two.

Teten threw a complete game. 

The boys will play either Jim Ned or Coahoma starting May 3 or 4 for the Bi-District championship.
