Chisolm, boys pass District

Dublin’s men’s varsity cross country team took the gold on Monday at the District meet at Dublin Secondary School’s new cross country track. 
Brent Stephen and Angel Escobar finished third and fourth in 17:46.71 and 18:13.58, respectively. 
Tim Teten was seventh in 18:51.72, and Daniel Escobar was 11th in 19:17.51. 
Fidel Acosta, Blake Stephen and Nabor Calderon rounded out the team, taking 13th, 16th and 19th respectively. 

Women’s varsity
For the women, Joley Chisholm will also advance to the Regional meet, taking fifth individually in 13:23.16.
Chisholm and the men’s varsity team will travel to Lubbock on Oct. 23 for the Regional meet. 
Chisholm will race at 1 p.m., followed by the boy’s race at 1:30. 
Sandra Martinez was 18th at the District meet in 14:53.6, and Camry Porter was 21st in 15:00.23. 
Jordyn Ricks, Jasmin Rojas, Vanessa Mejia and Miriam Almazan placed 24th, 25th, 27th and 28th, respectively. 

JV boys
Angel Ramirez led the JV boys team to first, winning the meet individually in 19:44.71.
Jakob Seals, Rayce Jackson, Nicholas Valerio, Diego Caballero and Chris Torress followed taking second through sixth in 20:43.74, 20:43.74, 21:07.49, 21:07.49 and 22:11.23, respectively. 
Cole Gilliland placed eighth in 22:28.03. 
Andrew West, Juan Rodriguez and Luis Valtierra finished 11th, 14th and 18th, respectively.
