Price honored for 25 years

Dublin High School ag teacher Darren Price was honored for 25 years in teaching the subject at The Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas conference in Arlington

Dublin’s agricultural science teacher Darren Price was recognized for his 25 years of tenure during the conference at The Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas annual Professional Development Conference, July 24 through 28 in Arlington.

Agricultural science teachers spent the week attending professional development workshops, training classes and general sessions with motivational speakers to enhance their current teaching methods and keep up with the latest curriculum developments in agricultural education and technology.

Members from across Texas received VATAT Awards during the closing general session, held July 28 at the Arlington Convention Center.

Tenure awards are a benefit of the VATAT and are given in five-year increments to members who have dedicated themselves to teaching and supporting agricultural science. Recipients with 25 years of VATAT tenure like Price are honored with a commemorative award.

Price will be starting his 27th year in public education this year and is looking forward to what the future holds.
