MS Trail Ride returns May 6
May 6 marks the 21st annual Cowboy Capital Trail Ride at Tarleton’s Hunewell Ranch in Stephenville.
The trail ride benefits the National MS Society in their crusade against multiple sclerosis, a chronic and often disabling disease of the central nervous system.
The ride does this by encouraging all riders to collect donations before setting off on the trail.
Teams of three or more will be eligible for awards, such as Top Fundraising Team, Largest Team and Most Spirited Team, while individuals will compete for Top Fundraising Individual, Traveled Farthest, Oldest Rider and Youngest Rider.
Prizes will be awarded during a BBQ lunch provided by the Knights of Pythias. Breakfast will be provided by FMC and Diane Tidwell. The morning break and rest stop will be provided by Saint-Gobain. There will also be a live and silent auction.
Check-in will begin at 8 a.m., followed by the beginning of the ride at 9 a.m.
All riders must provide proof of negative Coggins testing and are responsible for turning in any donations on the day of the event.

A 5K Trail Run/Walk is also available for those who don’t ride. Registration for the run will be at 9 a.m., and it will begin at 9:30 a.m.
