Jessie Owen Rasberry passed on February 25, 2024 in Stephenville, Texas. He was born April 11, 1943 in Erath County to K. C. Rasberry and Alta Lois Cason. Visitation will be at 10 AM, prior to the funeral service to be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dennis Rejcek will be officiating. Burial will be in the Morgan Mill Cemetery following the funeral service. Owen was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Stephenville.

Owen grew up in Sap Oak, Texas. He attended Morgan Mill School and graduated from Stephenville High School in 1961. After receiving his degree in computer science, he worked as a computer consultant for multiple insurance companies in several states. He retired in 2009, while living in Morgan Mill, Texas. Owen moved to Stephenville in 2018, due to declining health.

Owen married Barbara Reeves on August 5, 1961. They were parents of two daughters; Leona Babyak and Brenda Young. He married Sarah Stallings on October 27, 2001.

Owen enjoyed reading, watching movies, hunting, fishing, and traveling with his family.

Preceding Owen in death were his parents; the mother of his children, Barbara Meador; three sisters, Evelyn Atkins, Dorothy Laney, and Paralie Young; a niece and two nephews.

He was survived by his wife, Sarah Rasberry; 2 daughters, Leona Babyak and husband Karl, Brenda Young and husband, Derek; grandchildren Nicholas Babyak, Mathew Babyak and wife, Lauren, Daniel Babyak and wife, Becca, Abby (Young) Pampin and husband, Rick, and Andy Young; great-grandchildren Olivia Pampin and Ryleigh Pampin; step-children Sherrye and Randy Mills, Landon and Sandra Stallings, Senisa and Jamie Roper and their families; 2 brothers Arnold and Barbara Rasberry, Grady and Linda Rasberry; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family expresses a special thanks to Dr. Jeffery Moore, Staff at Mulberry Manor, and CCS Hospice for the wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
